What’s Up Wednesday: April 2018!

Good Morning! Happy, happy Wednesday to you! Anyone else in shock May is knocking on our door this next week? Summer is ALMOST here and I’m having a hard time believing that! Anyways, I hope you’re having a wonderful week so far! Anything exciting going on in your world lately? Join the conversation in the comments below! I can’t wait to hear all about what’s going on in your world!

It’s the last Wednesday of April and that means it’s time to link up with Mel, Sheaffer and Shay for “What’s Up Wednesday”! What is “What’s Up Wednesday” you ask? Good question! It’s a once a month Q & A post with my fellow bloggers in the blogosphere sharing extra fun and random things going on with us at the current moment! You guys know I’m all about sharing randoms so this post is definitely a favorite of mine each month! Feel free to play along and join in on the fun and link up with us!

Each month we answer these questions….

1) What we’re eating this week:

Well, I can’t stop eating THESE Clif bars. I hadn’t had one in a while and then last week grabbed a few at Natural Grocers! I’ve eaten my stash and am already planning my next trip there to stock back up again! They’re SO satisfying!!

2.) What I’m reminiscing about:

I’ve really been missing being able to spend more time on my blog. I’ve been trying to get on as much as I can lately, but it still feels like FOREVER in between my posts. I am just having the toughest time trying to find that balance between work life, home life and still finding ways to fill me up, which is exactly what my blog does for me! Spending all day on the computer working on social media and just pretty much “thinking” all day–is challenging and makes it a lot harder to squeeze in time to blog, create content and sit down to really focus on it. So, I hope you know I’m not falling off the face of the earth with everything–I’m just trying to do my best with each day as it comes. I’m hoping soon a balance with it all will just kick in and my new normal will come around. In the meantime, I love getting to pop in a few times a week to say hello and share what’s going on! But, I promise to be back soon with more consistency–once I can find a way to get a good flow going with everything. Do I sound like a broken record at this point? Sometimes, I feel like I do…I also struggle with change, can you tell? HA! I am the ultimate creature of habit which is why all of this time change with going back to work full time has been such a huge adjustment for me. Here’s hoping it’ll all smooth out really soon though! We shall see…;)

3.) What I’m loving:

In other news–I’m in LOVE with my standup desk! Remember, how I told you a few weeks back I was in the market and needed something to help me escape the 8-5 sit down thing at work? Well, I’ve found my solution! I ended up moving desks and didn’t have as big of an area for a huge standup desk, but found the most perfect one on Amazon! It works like a charm and has made my life so much easier throughout the day! I try to stand up a few hours every so often to keep my legs moving around and things, and so far–so good! I love it! Best part? It was only $30! WIN-WIN in my book!

4.) What we’ve been up to:

We’re still waiting for our house to sell! It’s been about 2 months since we’ve listed this current project of ours, so we’re just still being patient with it all. We know it’ll sell right when it needs to, and are just hoping our perfect buyer is right around the corner. Real estate is so unpredictable, that’s for sure! We can’t wait to get to move on to our next adventure though, whenever that may be! Flipping houses is like a hurry up and wait game in all of it’s crazy forms. We hurry to get all of the work done and make sure everything is done to perfection, and THEN WE WAIT…for it to sell. So, I’ll keep you posted as things move along, but nothing new on the home selling front! We’re just hanging out on the market waiting for our turn to come around to get to the closing table! To be continued…

5.) What I’m dreading:

Did I mention this last month? Pollen. That is all.

6.) What I’m working on:

I’m working on a variety of things at the moment actually, thanks for asking! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m working on strength training in the gym (nothing new there either! Just making progress which is always exciting!), and a few new real estate adventures with some friends and selling their homes is in the works for me. Remember when I mentioned running just hasn’t been in the cards lately as I’ve been crazy busy and less than motivated to get out there? WELL, I’m coming back!! I feel like if anything this full time change of jobs and time management has taught me, it’s that I need to have time to sweat! Well, to keep sane more than anything! HA! But, really–this past weekend I plugged away on the treadmill and listened to some running podcasts that really got me thinking about how much I need running in my life on a regular basis. Maybe not 15 miles or anything, but training for 5ks and 10ks is totally doable for me right now, which is exactly what I’m doing! It was a combination of things between the Boston Marathon and all of it’s magical inspiration and then add in a few good running podcasts with some amazing runners and I’m back in the game! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Doesn’t take much to convince me to find a way to get back to my favorite thing–running will always be #1 in my heart! No matter what’s going on. It’s ALWAYS there for me when I come back around and for that, I love it even more!

7.) What I’m excited about:

I’m excited that I was able to #sharethespark this past weekend with one of my running friends and old co-workers! She ran her first half-marathon and so I thought it was the perfect time to get to share a few of the new Momentum Jewelry bracelets with her! She did awesome and said she loved having it to look down at by her watch, which made me feel even better knowing those maybe gave a little extra boost to her race day! Have I mentioned how much I love those wrap bracelets? Because, I’m obsessed!

8.) What I’m watching/reading:

We jumped on the Greatest Showman bandwagon this week and now I can’t get those songs out of my head! Seriously, SO GOOD!! I am not always a HUGE fan of musicals, but that one was totally a game changer. If you haven’t watched it–you need to! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

I’m still working on finishing “Present Over Perfect” too, so hopefully soon I’ll wrap it up! So far, I’m still loving it!! I can’t wait to share my review on it really soon!

9.) What I’m listening to:

Her podcast with Sarah Sellers was SO GOOD!! Sarah Sellers was the 2nd finisher at the Boston Marathon, so of course I had to listen in!

10.) What I’m wearing:

I’m in need of some new running shorts as almost all of mine somehow ended up with paint on them from our renovation project! I wasn’t even purposely painting in them, it’s just that paint somehow tends to get on EVERYTHING and my running shorts were sadly sacrificed in the meantime! So, that leads me to this question: What is your favorite place to find running clothes? Any favorite shops? Share away!!

11.) What I’m doing this weekend:

RUNNING!! And spending all weekend outside! It’s going to be GORGEOUS and I can’t wait to soak in all the vitamin D!

12.) What I’m looking forward to next month:

The royal wedding!! I can’t help it, I’m obsessed. Anyone else?

13.) What else is new?

Well, nothing too crazy by any means in our world! Just still working away and adjusting to life’s curve balls as they come around! Here’s hoping the next few months can slow down and smooth out, because that’s just what I’m counting on! ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m off to work for the day but I want to thank you guys for hanging out with me today for another “What’s Up Wednesday” edition!! Join the conversation below and share what’s going on in your world! Anything new you’d like to share?! Tell me all about it!! Or, pick a topic from above and share away!! Let’s chat!

Have a fabulous Wednesday!! Let’s catch up again really soon, k?
