My favorite time of the year + In the trees + Morning workout love

Hi friends! How are you today? I hope you’ve had a fabulous week so far! It feels like it’s been forever since we’ve last caught up, even though it’s just been over a week! We’ve been busy, busy, busy running around trying to do all things graduation (x2), birthdays, holidays, and life in between! It seems like this month has just literally flown by faster than ever! Anyone else feel like that? I’m guessing it’s just the season of life we’re in right now, so I’m just trying to hold on tight and enjoy the ride along the way.

Also–We kind of did a thing and I can’t wait to share it with you REALLY soon!

Until then–Let’s talk randoms– I’m pretty sure Arkansas has officially jumped to Summer as we have highs in the upper 80’s/90’s with humidity in our forecast. I solemnly swear that I won’t complain AS MUCH as I usually do here about our crazy intense Summer heat. But, can I just squeeze in a little tiny thought on it so far? Ok, it’s MAY ARKANSAS…why so hot so early? Ok, ok, I got it out of my system. 😉

My favorite time of the year (food wise) has totally made it’s way into my heart–BERRY SEASON IS HERE!! I’ve been a berry eating machine lately and I’m not ashamed of it. If you see a hint of red to my skin here soon, don’t worry–I’ve just been eating my weight in strawberries.

I’ve also been totally obsessed with all things granola lately too. Yogurt + granola is such a yummy combination. Did I mention that I added berries in there too? Well, you better believe I did, girlfriend!

These cookies are also highly delicious and made a visit to our oven last night.

Ok, now that my sweet tooth has been completely exposed (…as if you guys didn’t already know I am a sweet tooth crazy lady) I have been doing other things than diving into all things sweet and delicious! We went for a good bike right the other day and it literally reminded me (again) just how much I need to get out my bike more often. Almost 9 miles in the sun was the perfect amount I needed to ride that endorphin high. It was such a perfect way to spend the afternoon.

I also got in a really good run this week before work! I don’t know about you, but I’m new to this whole “morning workout” thing…I’ve mentioned it here so many times before and I just have a few things to tell you about it.

1) I don’t hate it near as much as I used to. It’s actually become my “me-time” in the morning to prepare for the day. I get to get up, drink my water, coffee, stretch out with some yoga, head out for my run, come back & shower/get ready for work and grab some breakfast. Not every morning looks that way, but I’ve been sneaking it in as much as I can throughout the work week.

2) I’m getting better and better with making it a new habit.

3) I almost ALWAYS forget I woke up early and got my workout in! Seriously, it feels like it happened the day before, but is such a pleasant reminder halfway through the way that I’ve already finished my workout and can go home and decompress with a good walk and dinner!

Lately, when I’m not out running around or working, you can most definitely find me here: relaxing deep into our hammock.

Staring up at this view doesn’t hurt one bit.

One last share with you–my cutest little niece graduated 4th grade yesterday and we got to be there to see her walk across the stage. This is kind of a big deal for her, because it’s officially “middle school” time at her school. She’ll be leaving her elementary and going off to her next big school, and I honestly can’t believe it! She’s the sweetest and cutest little human being on the earth, and most definitely my favorite person. We’re SO so proud of her!

Ok, I’m off to work for the day, but before I go–I wanted to share this Yoga with Adriene with you! It’s been my go-to as it’s quick and feels AMAZINGLY good! It’s really good in the morning before my run and has my hamstrings feeling all sorts of good after I finish.
