Weekly Snapshot #2 + Flip Life Vlog

Hey friends! Happiest of Sundays to you! How has your weekend been so far? I hope it’s been a good one wherever you are! It was another super productive and busy one for us, but no complaints here. We’re trying to get ready for a big move in the next few weeks, so we have our heads buried in work to make sure this house is {somewhat} move-in ready for us really soon.

I’ve got another vlog up on my channel today filled with all of the things that we tackled this week in a new Weekly Snapshot! You can watch it all here:

Don’t forget to subscribe and comment to say hi!

This week was jam-packed with all things housework but luckily I got in enough time to get a run in! (YAY!) I got to run outside which was huge for me considering I’ve been logging nothing but treadmill miles for what feels like forever! It was so nice to get outside and breathe in the fresh air instead of stuffy gym air. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This hill doesn’t look quite a scary in picture form, but GOODNESS it was a tough one to add to the end of my workout.

Treated myself to a delicious chocolate chip cookie from Chick-Fil-A for it! ๐Ÿ™‚

My cute niece came over to spend one of her Spring Break days with us and we had the best time. We made sweet Spring treats and caught a movie together (Wonder Park) which was super fun! It was such a good day and a much-needed break from all of the work on the house.

(PS if you use unicorn marshmallows for Rice Krispies, they turn a dark gray color which wasn’t too pretty. BUT–they still tasted good which was all that matters, right? ;))

We got our change of address all set up for the upcoming move. We’re so close!!

It was a big week for landscaping and we finally got all of the leaves cleaned up in the yard. We bagged over 18 FULL bags of leaves in 1 day. Talk about a workout! I’m tired just typing this…

I even got to use my super cute new garden gloves. (Thanks Target dollar section!)

We had a breakfast date on Friday morning and it was so nice to have a slow start to the day.

Then, the fun began on the house! We made huge progress and started taking up the (terribly dirty and old) subfloors in the house. It is currently a huge mess, but we’re just that much closer to the new carpet install coming soon! I can’t wait!

Then…this happened. Be sure to see it all in action in my vlog at the top of this post! BYE COUNTERTOPS!

Alright, I’m off to relax for the night with a little yoga! How about you? What’s on your agenda for the night?ย

What was the best part of your weekend?ย

What’s one goal you plan on tackling this coming week ahead?ย

  1. I love following along on your house flip! I think this house is going to be a beauty! I do have to ask … do you plan to fully redo the kitchen? I know as someone just entering the housing market I feel like in so many flips people are trying to put lipstick on a pig with new counters but don’t go the distance and put in new cabinets which I would totally appreciate more than super high end counters (if that makes sense). Also … my goal for this week is to go to a couple open houses in the area and keep an open mind on what I can afford! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Hey Lindsay!! Thank you so much!! We are definitely full re-doing the kitchen! The majority of the cabinets are actually in pretty good shape so we’re going to do a little bit of re-framing to them as well as new paint and hardware as well. So, they’ll look 10 million times better really soon! I can’t wait for the reveal because the kitchen is going to look so much better! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hopefully you had an awesome weekend looking for houses!! Its such a fun process!!

Have a great rest of your day!!

  2. Chick Fil A cookies are the BEST! Such a perfect treat after a run ๐Ÿ™‚ That’s so sweet that you got to spend a day with your niece! A highlight from my weekend was checking a bunch of things off our wedding planning checklist! I ended the weekend feeling so accomplished. A goal I hope to tackle this week is cleaning out some of my kitchen cabinets and my fridge. I tend to let too much time go in between deep cleaning those.

    1. They really are the best cookies ever! SOOO good!!

How exciting you’re getting married!! I bet you’re super busy with the planning!

YAY for house cleaning! It’s so refreshing when it’s all said and done.

Have a great rest of your day girly!!
