We spent the entire 4th of July doing ALL the patriotic things this year. The whole 30A/PCB area had SO MUCH going on the whole weekend and we had so much fun!
(P.S. Be sure to scroll to the bottom to catch all of the weekend in action with my Weekend With Me Vlog!) I hope your 4th of July was just as good as ours was! Either way, can you believe we’re halfway through the year? Where is 2022 going? Whew!
Let’s start with our first festive activity of the holiday weekend: The Laguna Beach Golf Cart Parade! This is a yearly local tradition here held just in the cute neighborhood of Laguna Beach. Everyone decks out their golf carts with all things 4th of July and drives through the neighborhood throwing candy and blasting festive music. It was so much fun to catch AND the best part is it was right across from the beach! We absolutely LOVE the Laguna Beach area because it just has that small town beach town feel and it just can’t be beat. It’s not taken over by condos and chain restaurants but still has those good old hole in the wall eateries like Thomas’s Donuts and Ice Cream and not to mention the best of the best beach access points. If you’ve never made your way to the area, it’s a must see on the Florida panhandle.

The next day we spent all day in Grayton Beach on 30A. This is THE cutest spot to me because it feels like you get the best of both worlds with tons of beautiful tree lined streets but right on the beach. It just doesn’t get better than that.
We made sure to get there bright and early so we could find a good parking spot. Then, it was time to catch our very first Rags to Riches Regatta Race! This is another local tradition that happens on the 4th of July weekend in the area and it was so fun to watch! We loved seeing the colorful sail boats take to the water and race around the wavy water. It was such a blast!

After the race we beached it up soaking in all the sunshine!

The next morning was 4th of July which kicked off with a fun parade in the heart of Grayton Beach. People sure love their golf carts, Jeeps, and parades around here. HA! It made for such a festive way to kick off the day! We really love the patriotic spirit in this town!

We closed out the weekend with of course, fireworks! We’re right next to a pier which makes us extra lucky to be able to walk to the beach, chairs in hand! We settled in for ALL the fireworks on the beach. We had a literal up front front row seat to fireworks. From locals, to tourists, to professional shows, we saw it all! I really can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 4th! I also don’t think I’ve ever been SO close to so many fireworks going off at once. We literally felt the firework ash in our hair while we watched them go off.

We had an amazing weekend celebrating our first 4th of July as true locals!
