Hey guys! Happiest of Wednesday’s to you! Today’s post is a tiny bit later than normal, but better late than never, right? 😉 I hope you’ve had a great day today and fingers crossed for an even better day tomorrow! We’re currently looking at a MAJOR rainy forecast and I’m just trying to figure out where I can find a kayak STAT to get around town. Some of our major school districts are even closed tomorrow due to flooding in the area. I’m almost positive Spring snuck up on all of us here in the South because we were totally not expecting this whatsoever.
It has rained non-stop since late yesterday and this is what we’re currently looking at for the next few days…rain, rain & more rain! We’re in desperate need of that sun to come out on Sunday and I sure can’t wait to see it!
Before the rain hit yesterday, we got outside to knock out some serious mileage! We finished the day with 9 miles total and I was exhausted in the best of ways. It’s been a while since I’ve seen that distance in walking or running and I was proud of us for pushing through.
Nothing beats long miles on the river trail, especially when the weather is in the 70’s in mid-to-late February! You could tell by the wind though that some serious rain was headed our way. The wind gusts were pretty crazy on the top of the bridge.
Those long miles = red wine totally earned to cap off the day. 😉 This 19 Crimes Cabernet Sauvignon is my favorite red wine that I’ve ever had. It’s so smooth and has such a good flavor to it. Plus, the $9.99 price tag at Kroger sure is hard to top!
I’m still working my way through my February Book of the Month “Big Magic”. It’s kind of not what I thought it would be, but I’ll have my entire review up for you guys next week with all of my thoughts!
Also, does opening a brand new bag of coffee make everyone smile as much as it does me? The happiness that’s brought on by filling up the empty coffee canister on our counter with a brand new bag of coffee is pretty priceless in my opinion. Need I remind you that it doesn’t take much to excite me? 😉 It’s always about the little things in my world…
Thoughts on this…. Yay or Nay? Are you a Peeps person or no? We saw these the other day at Kroger and I was instantly unsure of my thoughts on them. I’m thinking you should try them and report back on if they’re good or not. 😉 I’ll be busy devouring the Reese’s Easter peanut butter eggs in the meantime. 🙂
With all this rain going down today, this yoga is a must for tonight. Here’s hoping for an extra restful night of sleep with all the rainy sounds falling on our skylights and a good savanna session.
Before I let you go, this totally made me laugh because it’s SO me, especially with the subjects in today’s post. The only thing I’d also add here is definitely chocolate….ALLLLLLLL the chocolate. 🙂 No shame in my game friends!
I hope wherever you are is warm, sunny and dry because I’ll be over here rowing the boat around Little Rock for the next few days! Here’s to sunshine and Spring coming our way really soon!!
