Happy day after Memorial Day!
We had the ultimate beach weekend spent non-stop by the water. To say it was the best kick-off to summer would be an understatement. We lucked out with the sunniest of sunny beach days all weekend long and that meant we spent our days bright and early in the sand until sunset. Beach bum weekend made.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and took time to spend with those you love most. Before we get into today’s blog, I want to be sure to send out an extra big THANK YOU to all of the brave men and women who have served our country and paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Your courage will never be forgotten!
We started off the weekend morning’s with a gym session because we knew if we put it off until the afternoon, we’d never get to it. So, before the clock hit 7:00AM we hit the gym!

Then we loaded up the car with the bikes because we knew they would be our best mode of transportation along 30A. Turns out we were 100% right because parking was a mess! But, luckily we got there early enough to find a good spot and then had our bikes to ride around town later in the day. It was the BEST idea we’ve had so far living at the beach.

I made sure to pack all the salty and all the sweet things too. Something about watermelon and chips/salsa on the beach just feels so right.

The water was absolute perfection the entire weekend. We weren’t sure how it would be because it rained ALL last week but the seaweed (they call it sargassum or june grass here) stuck along the shore and the water was clear as can be.

But, something tells me this dedicated beach crowd wouldn’t have minded either way. The beaches were rows deep but none of us seemed to mind.

There was plenty of live music too all along 30A, so we hopped on our bikes and road from Seacrest Beach to Seaside to grab a quick bite to eat at our favorite BBQ place, “Barefoot BBQ” and enjoyed the music from the Adirondack chairs.

We even brought a little bit of Arkansas with us repping Nick’s cousin’s shop Nativ with the cutest Koozies.

The palm trees lining the Seaside town square are my favorite.

Another day, another beach day! 🙂 If there’s one thing I can say about beach life in our past 8 months of living here is that we never let a sunny beach day sneak by us without a little bit of fun in the sun. But, something about a holiday spent by the water makes it 10x better.

Besides the snacks, this is one of my new beach bag must-haves. It was HOT but this little Liquid IV packet made ALL the difference. I get headaches really bad towards the end of hot days for some reason but I had one of these all weekend and didn’t have a single headache! Total game changer in the Florida heat.

We spend a lot of our time on our bikes exploring places we don’t ever go by car. So, we road around Inlet Beach this weekend to check out the neighborhood a little bit more. It was the cutest and we even found a new-to-us beach access that was a hidden gem!

Nothing beats a beach sunset to wrap up the best of the best weekends.

We closed out the weekend squeezing every last bit of sunshine out of the day on Monday. It truly couldn’t have been better.

Wishing you all the best of the best Tuesday that feels just like a Monday! 🙂 I hope you had an amazing weekend and have an even better week ahead.
Talk soon!
XOXO Chelsea
