Hi!
We had such an amazing weekend spent 99.9% in the sunshine. We decided to do something we said we were actually never going to try and it turned out to be SO MUCH FUN! We brought our inflatable stand up paddle board to the local lakes by us! So, hear me out. Yes, Florida is obviously known for its alligators. Which is 100% the reason we said we would NEVER get in the lakes here. We kept seeing people boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, and even swimming in the lakes when we go by but thought they had to just be crazy people! HA! But, as it turns out — it was WAY less scary than we thought. Lately the gulf has been covered in seaweed, (it’s “June Grass Season” here) so we thought we would change things up a bit and head to the lake to give it a try. Well, there are TONS of fresh water lakes all around us and all along 30A. So, we blew up the paddle board and hopped on for SO MUCH fun in the sun! It made us feel so much more confident in paddle boarding and we’re already ready to get back into the lake in the next few days. We DO plan on getting another paddle board because we feel like that would make it even better, but for now this one does the trick! Inflatable is definitely the way to go though when you live in an apartment. 🙂

We woke up the other day around 5:15 and decided we would go check out the sunrise. Would you believe me when I say we haven’t made our way to a single sunrise since we moved here? Almost a whole year! I wake up around 6 all the time but we never actually go to the beach to watch the sunrise. Well, that changed the other day and we were so glad we did it. We headed over to Inlet Beach which is just a few miles down the road from us and it was beautiful! We vowed to do it more often from now on.

Speaking of beautiful sights…I had a work assignment the other day to head over to the WaterColor neighborhood so I made sure to snap some pictures of our walk through the area. It’s seriously like you’re walking in a dreamy garden there. If you’ve never been through WaterColor before, add it to your must-see list on 30A.

Little Free Libraries are just the best invention ever.

Also, I’m eating my weight in white nectarines lately. HOW have I gone my entire life without ever having one? I LOVE fruit but somehow missed this one and I can’t believe how delicious these things are! YUM!!!
There really is just something so magical about Florida produce…it’s ALL delicious!!

But…so are these ice cream cones too. 🙂

Cooper though…he’s more of a spaghetti fan. Can you tell?

Oh, I forgot to tell you guys! I finally got new running shoes! I jumped off the Nike bandwagon because I’ve had THE WORST food problems for the past few months with my last pair of running shoes. SO, I decided to try out these Saucony‘s for the first time and…WOW! I’m impressed! I’ve had Brooks and always loved them, had Asics and they were good too, but these Saucony’s might be my favorite yet! They’re so comfortable!! I also got them on Amazon Prime Day so they were on sale which was a big win in my book!
They’re the ‘Ride 14’ series and have rave reviews online.

This sign in Grayton Beach always makes me smile. They update it with cute messages and it’s just such a cute touch for our favorite 30A neighborhood.

Alright, I’m wrapping up the rest of my work this afternoon and then we’re heading down to the beach for the afternoon. I’ll catch back up with you guys soon!!
I hope you have an amazing rest of your Wednesday!
XOXO Chelsea
