It’s Day #13 of BLOGMAS and I’m so glad you’re here!
Serious question first though–where did the weekend go? I blinked and it’s already over! How does that happen every single time? AND who do I need to talk to for longer weekends and shorter work weeks? If you’ve got a good contact, send them my way, stat! 😉
Anyways, today was another busy day over at our new-to-us rental. We plan to get started moving in this week so we have A LOT left on our plate before that can happen. Tuesday we get internet, gas, water and electric all moved over to us and turned on so that will be quite the exciting day. The things you get excited over at 31…I tell ya.
Nick gave our hideous flooring in the “hallway” area a makeover today and it made ALL the difference. I’ll be sharing some DIY posts here soon so you can find out how we made this happen for under $30! Yep. You ready that right. $30.00.

He also got started on updating the quirks to the kitchen. Seeing some of these houses really makes you wonder what people are thinking sometimes as they’re picking out what goes where…ha! But, thank goodness he is my very own Mr. Fix It and can turn things around in no time! I can’t wait to show you the afters really soon!! It’s not going to be perfect by any means because we aren’t able to renovate this house as much as we’d like with it being a rental house and not our own this time but it will be WAY better than it was on day #1! I can promise you that! You can do SO much with SO little and we can’t wait to show you how with some future posts coming up later this month.

We grabbed breakfast from our favorite spot in town, Hillcrest Little Bakery. Their coffee is the best and the customer service is even better!

Nicks mom gets us the cutest little Christmas pieces each year and I love collecting them. This one is the perfect addition with it’s cute little Razorback sign.

Also, how cute is this cookie decorating set at Fresh Market? I’ll definitely be bringing this over to my sister’s on Christmas eve this year to do with my cute niece, Brooklyn!

Speaking of Fresh Market, Nick wanted me to tell you guys that this cold brew from there is delicious and he highly recommends it. Check out those simple ingredients too! He was a big fan and thinks you will be too! 😉 PS Don’t mind the paint stained hands of mine. All in a days work! ha!
Are you a fan of egg nog? I’ve NEVER had it but this Almond Milk version almost had me convinced I should try it. Should I? What do you think?

Tacos from Local Lime rounded out our weekend and hit the spot! But, then again, when do tacos NOT?
Chicken tacos for me and Carnitas tacos for Nick! Both with their delicious lime rice which is our favorite!

Alright guys, I’m off to get ready for the week ahead! Here’s hoping it’s a good one for all of us!
Questions for you:
Did you get snow this weekend?
Do you get a white Christmas every year where you live?
If you had to pick between tacos or pizza for dinner every night of your life, what would you pick?

Can’t wait to see your new house!!!!
Me too!! Hopefully it’ll be ready to go REALLY soon! 🙂
Its been snowing today. Minnesota usually has white christmas’ but I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t this year as it is 2020 after all.
I can’t wait for a post with all of the before and after photos!
Hi Lindsay! I’m so jealous of your snow! Central Arkansas hasn’t had a good snow in years! So we’re hoping with the craziness of 2020, maybe we’ll get some sort of a snow day soon. 🙂 I can’t wait to share the before and afters! It’ll look a lot better than it does now really soon!
Have an amazing week ahead!!
Eggnog… Definitely you should try it! YUM😋
And I could eat Tacos every night… With cheese dip and salsa, of course! 😉
Okay, I’ll keep you posted on the eggnog for sure!! 🙂 And Im right there with ya—tacos and cheese dip daily sounds like a total dream!!
Thanks for reading along Brandi!!! ☺️☺️☺️
Oh my gosh, pizza or tacos….that’s a terrible choice to have to make. Hmm… I LOVE LOVE tacos, but also love pizza so much. I think I would choose tacos, since there are SO many delicious varieties of tacos. I’m pretty boring about pizza and always get the same kind. My husband is Mexican and when we go to Mexico we eat ALL the tacos. We just had some delicious carnitas tacos with salsa verde/ guac, onion and cilantro and also birria tacos last weekend from a local place. mmmmm soooo good. 🙂
Oh I love that!! Thank goodness we don’t have to really pick between the two!! So glad I’m not alone in my obsession with tacos! I could seriously live off of them. 🙂
Have a fabulous week Kae!! Thank you for stopping by!!
