It’s BLOGMAS Day #22!

This morning started off with a coffee date on the couch with the pups to gather my thoughts and put together my to-do list for the day.

Then, we headed out to start Christmas shopping! It’s about time…right? You’d think I’d learn from all these years of procrastinating my Christmas shopping but old habits die hard. Maybe next year? I won’t make any promises though.
While we were shopping, we snagged a Ninja Foodi for ourselves for an early Christmas gift and I can’t wait to try it! This thing looks a-m-a-z-i-n-g so stay tuned for a review coming to the blog soon! Here’s hoping it’s as good as it sounds.

We also ran into Lowe’s to pick up a few new house plants. I’ll have to do a separate post on our plants because if I can keep these beauties alive, anyone can! It’s amazing what adding indoor plants can do for the feel of a house. Something about them feels so refreshing when they’re alive and thriving. Also, I have the worst of the worst allergies so I’m all for anything that can help “clean” the air from dust and dander.

We ran into the Re-Store to see if we could thrift anything for the house. We’re getting extra creative and so far it’s going really great! But, this is one of those places that you have to have something you’re REALLY looking for. Otherwise, it can be a bit overwhelming because they have a little bit of everything. So, we browsed around and didn’t really find anything that felt like it was calling our name.
I did, however, get extra lucky and hit the cleaning jackpot at the grocery store! YAY for cleaning supplies!! Who knew you could get so excited over Lysol and Method all-purpose spray? #2020

Trader Joe’s was surprisingly less busy than we expected so we had to go by and grab our favorite produce essentials. Their pre-cut fruits and veggies are a must for me. It feels so good to get our kitchen stocked up with some healthy goodness. When we’re moving, it’s just a little too chaotic and quick and convenient food makes for the easiest of dinners. So, here’s to getting back in the kitchen to make our own food for the next little while!
Cooper wanted me to tell you that he highly recommends the sliced apples over any veggies though. He says pairing them with peanut butter makes for a real treat. 😉

PRO TIP: If you’re ever looking for ways to sneak in extra greens–toss a big handful into your pasta dishes like this! Tonight was “spaghetti” night and was our first official home cooked meal in the house! It was delicious and super filling.
We’re ending the night celebrating the fact that we started Christmas shopping and hope to be all done by tomorrow. I think that’s why I always procrastinate this type of thing because I work well under pressure. 😉
Anyways, I hope you’re having a great Tuesday! Even though it feels like a Thursday…
Questions for you:
Have you ever tried the Ninja Foodi? Or do you have an air fryer of any kind?
Do you share food scraps with your fur babies? Ours love apples!
What’s your favorite pasta dish?

Enjoy your foodi! I got one back in June, and we use it nearly every day. French toast, bacon, fish (seriously fish in the air fryer is amazing), potatoes…I could go on and on. I can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Ah!! I love the idea of French toast!! I’m so excited we joined the Ninja Foodi club! 🥳
Your pasta looks YUMMY! Great idea on tossing in some spinach! ;o)
Thank you!!! Yes, it’s the easiest and sneakiest way to get more greens in! ♥️
I’m probably a bit of a one off but I cannot stand the taste/texture of spinach … I also am strange that I don’t really enjoy lettuce at all. I generally stick to veggies like broccoli, carrots, peppers, etc. I just can’t stand the strange texture of lettuce/spinach. I so wish I was different. But in the meantime I will just have to add extra mushrooms and other veggies into my pasta dishes! <3
Oh, you’re so not alone with textures! I’m really picky and mushrooms are actually a no-go for me bc of their texture! So we just need to swap flavor likes ;)!
