Happy Day #4 of Blogmas! In today’s post, I wanted to recap our last week at the beach in Destin, Florida to celebrate Thanksgiving. We headed down to the best beach house for the week and lucked out with the absolute best of the best weather all week long. We started this tradition with Nick’s family a few years ago and it’s been such a fun treat to look forward to every November. But, this November it was more of a treasure than ever before. With all of the craziness of the year we all desperately needed to feel a sense of normalcy and just get away for a little bit to reset and recharge. And, we were so thankful that we got to do just that! (Safely of course considering the circumstsances) If you’ve never been to the beach in November, you should add it to your list for 2021. It really couldn’t be a better time of year to visit. Less crowds, the most beautiful water and usually amazing weather to go with it.

We stayed in a house right on the water this year and it was such a treat to wake up to every morning. I don’t think the water has been this pretty in a while, considering all of the chaos of hurricane season. It was Caribbean blue and so perfect.
We were right between Destin and Miramar Beach and this place quickly became our new favorite beach spot. If you’re familiar with the Crab Trap in Destin, our house was just right down the walkway from it. So its super walk friendly and close to literally everything you could need without all the crazy traffic of Destin and Hwy 98.
We spent our days down by the water snacking the day away and soaking in ALL the sunshine. It was mid 70’s each day with zero rain the entire week. For November, that’s definitely a win! We even got to get in the water a few days. While it was definitely chilly, it was refreshing mid day when the sun really warmed everything up. We all just kept saying it felt almost like summer with how warm it was.
With so many people in Nick’s family, we like to order to-go food every night for dinner. It worked out especially good doing that again this year with a lot of the restaurants being limited to smaller capacities anyways. So, we had plenty of mexican, seafood, pizza, italian, and all the leftovers you could ever need.
Nick has three sweet siblings and six adorable nieces and nephews and they’re truly some of the best people you could ever know. Also, how cute are his parents? They’ve been married 48 years. If that’s not inspo, I’m not sure what is. So, getting to spend the week together is such a fun time because it’s one of the only times a year everyones schedule coordinate.

The sunsets are always a highlight of the day. Nothing tops a beach sunset in my book.
The reason we were in love with this spot out of all of our stays in Destin is because were less than a mile from Whole Foods and Starbucks. So, naturally we had to grab a vanilla latte and a baked treat to kick off our beachy days. These donuts are vegan but you could never guess it. I’m practically drooling just looking at this picture. 😉 They’re to die for.
We’re certainly not going to forget this dream house either. Fingers crossed we can make it back there next Thanksgiving if its not booked up! Here are a few snapshots to give you an idea of why we were so obsessed with it. Also, adding this to our vision board as we speak because #housegoals. 😉
It was such an unforgettable week and you better believe we’re already counting down the days until we go back.
Stay tuned to my YouTube channel and IG because I’m putting together a vlog/reel that’ll be up really soon!
Alright, that’s a wrap for today! Thanks for stopping by the blog today for another fun day of Blogmas!! Talk tomorrow, friends!
