Happy Saturday & Day #5 of Blogmas! I hope your Saturday has been filled with lots of Christmas-y fun. We actually spent most of the day watching all the sports because Arkansas played football and basketball today. So, of course we had to tune in and cheer on the Razorbacks. We won one and lost one so it wasn’t a total loss of a day for the hogs. It’s been a gorgeous day outside too (60’s and super sunny) which almost felt like a Spring day which I’ll definitely take for early December.
For today’s post, I thought it would be a good day to share my go-to eats & sweets lately! Then, to carry on with the festive spirit of blogmas, I’m sharing my favorite Christmas movies! Be sure to tell me in the comments what your favorites are too! Maybe we’ll have a few in common!

Let’s jump right in!
First up, I can’t deny my love for the vanilla latte from Starbucks! It’s my go-to order most days. I did get a skinny Peppermint Mocha last week and it was a close 2nd on my list. Nick likes the vanilla latte but also switches it up and gets the Matcha Green Tea sometimes too. This morning was extra sweet because the car in front of us paid for our order so we continued on and paid for the car behind us. I love a good #payitforward moment in the coffee line.

Homemade breakfast sandwiches for the win! This one was a bacon egg combo and it really hit the spot for a savory start to the day. Also, Christmas plates take things up notch on the cheer-meter, don’t you think? 😉

I made some super simple taco soup the other day and I’m already craving another batch. One pot recipes are always my jam and that’s what this one was. When it’s cold outside, taco soup is without a doubt a necessity to me. I plan on making one similar to this but with macaroni noodles this week, so stay tuned for that! I’ll be sure and share these recipes with you guys because I know you’ll love them!

Nick’s been whipping up some goodness on the grill. Today he grilled the most delicious chicken drumettes with a new to us whole 30 approved BBQ sauce. We don’t do Whole 30 but the less crazy ingredients the better and this one was REALLY good! I’d highly recommend it! We had them with a side of sweet potatoes which made for a really delicious combo for lunch.
On to the sweets side of things, I’ve been on a serious licorice/red twists kick lately. These two are my absolute favorites right now. They’re similar in taste but totally different in texture. The TJ’s kind is a little chewier and tough but the strawberry flavor is AMAZINGLY good. And, you can’t ever go wrong with Smart Sweets because the 2g of sugar is the best for an entire bag of candy! Which, you can’t NOT eat the entire bag once you dive in…These red twists are my all time favorite candy I’ve ever tried from them.
Also, sugar cookies are always a good idea. Especially when they’re Christmas tree shaped. 😉

Okay, okay–Let’s talk Christmas movies! Shall we?
Here are my favorites that happen every single year: (in no particular order!)
Christmas Vacation
Elf
The Grinch (with Jim Carrey)
The Holiday
Jack Frost (the really old version is my all time favorite!)
A Christmas Story
Charlie Brown Christmas
Rudolph (again, the really old version is too good to beat)
Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally & You’ve Got Mail *While these are not necessarily Christmas movies they’re very cozy and fitting for the holiday season so I have to include them here*
YOUR TURN:
What are your non-negotiable Christmas movies or shows that you watch every year?
What’s your go-to snack lately?
Do you put up Christmas lights at your house? If so, what color? Or do you do a little bit of everything?
