Hi and Happy Fri-YAY! How has your week been so far for you? I hope it’s been a good one! Today, we’re taking a few pictures of the house to get it listed and then we’re winding down another busy work-filled week! I haven’t had much time for running lately and my body is craving a good solid run, so I’m hoping to get one in today. It’s going to be a rainy weekend, so I’m going to try and get it in while I can! Once we slow down next week, I feel like I’ll finally be able to get back into the swing of my running routine and I can’t wait! Half marathon training has been a complete fail this time around and I’m just having to go with the flow because it is what it is! I’ve been listening to my body more than ever lately though, which I feel like is honestly what I need to make a consistent priority. Resting in between crazy work-filled days has just been more of what I’ve needed to do and that’s perfectly fine on my end!
It’s finally Friday and that means it’s time to kick off the weekend with a few things that I’m loving lately!
First things first, I have to say that nothing beats a good sunrise coffee date. We did so good this week and woke up a lot earlier to get the days started for us and the beautiful sunrises were our reward! I love to take my coffee outside in the morning with the dogs and take some time to soak up the fresh air for a little bit.
Nothing like a perfectly ripe avocado to bring a smile to your face, right? It sure is the little things in life… 😉
To balance out all of our avocado intake lately, I’ve been binging on these Annie’s Chocolate Chip cookies lately. Seriously, they’re SO good!! They’re small cookies, but have the biggest chocolate flavor! We absolutely love the Annie’s Homegrown brand and buy a ton of her products at Target all the time! Have you ever tried these before?
Walks by the river make for the best mood booster, every single time! There’s never a walk or a run that goes down that doesn’t leave me feeling more refreshed and recharged! It also doesn’t hurt one bit getting to live right down the street from it either. One of my favorite bridges to cross is along the river trail called the “Big Dam Bridge” which is, of course, the dam over the Arkansas River. It’s the largest pedestrian bridge in the country, which is a pretty fun fact about Arkansas! The views there never get old.
Another favorite lately, is coming across these two snuggle bunny brothers together throughout the day. Whenever the sun is coming through the windows or the skylights, you’re guaranteed to find these two right in the middle of the sunlight spot cuddled up together. They usually nap there for as long as the sun comes through and it’s just the cutest thing ever. I sure love my senior boys and the extra large dose of love they bring to our house each and every day.
*For those of you wondering, Joey (the Jack Russell) has to wear a cone because he has severe skin allergies that cause him to itch CONSTANTLY– to the point of drawing blood, without it. So, he’s found a security blanket in it and functions better now with it on than without it. We’ve tried EVERYTHING to help but this has been our only solution to keep him comfortable.*

What is something you’re loving lately?
Chocolate Chip or Peanut Butter cookies, if you were forced to choose between the two?
What time do you typically wake up each day? Are you a natural early riser or do you prefer to sleep in, when you can?
–I typically wake up around 6AM each morning. Of course, that depends too on how good I slept the night before. But, 6AM is usually my natural wake up time!
