Good Morning & Happy Friday to you!! It’s the weekend before Christmas and all chaos is stirring! 🙂 Isn’t that how that goes? Maybe not, but I’m feeling it a little bit on my end which probably means you are too! To shake things up a bit and to de-stress before ALL of the festivities begin this weekend, I want to share 5 things that I’m totally loving lately! Oh, and I’m also sharing 5 slow cooker recipes that you need to try THIS weekend too! Seriously, they scream Christmas in every possible way!
Want to just jump right in? Sounds good to me!
Here we go!
First on the list of things I’m loving lately, is definitely all of the Christmas lights! I’m always so sad when everyone has to take down their decorations once Christmas is over! Who wants to find a petition to sign saying we should keep them up year-round? Anyone?
We made our way out to Garvin Woodland Gardens this week which is about an hour or so from where we live to see the Christmas lights! You can walk through and spend about an hour seeing all of their different lighting setups. It’s such a fun Christmas tradition that we started several years ago and love going down there every Christmas! This Christmas tree is a singing tree that dances along with music non-stop! I think it’s everyone’s favorite part because it’s always super crowded with everyone taking pictures and video! We love it too and it’s definitely our favorite part!
I’m all about some hot chocolate lately too! We even brought some along with us when we went to see the Christmas lights the other night which was a fun treat! It’s also so good to have on those cold nights by the fire too! We tried out this Sillycow Farms Marshmallow Swirl the other night from Fresh Market and it was DELICIOUS!! It’s definitely a new favorite!
Another favorite thing lately, is my coffee in the morning! We’ve been experimenting with new flavors and the one we have right now is a light breakfast roast blend that is just delicious! I’m excited to try out a Christmas blend I saw the other day at the store too over the weekend! I think it’ll be delicious!! I never used to be a fan of changing up my coffee, but in the past year or so I’ve found that different beans and flavors/blends make ALL the difference! Plus, grinding your own beans is game changing!
I’ve been all about Pinterest lately! If you’re not creating boards on boards and getting lost for hours on end in Pinterest land, you’re doing life all wrong! Kidding, but it seriously is the best place to find …well anything really! I search for all things from recipes, to home inspiration to workouts all the time and find thousands of ideas there! If you’re not on there already, you have to start ASAP! You can find my Pinterest page, here! Feel free to follow along!
Lastly, this is something that I just can’t wait to get started on! You guys know that I LOVE Yoga with Adriene and her At-Home Yoga videos on YouTube. Well, each New Year, she posts a new 30 day Yoga challenge and she’s starting a new one on January 1st! I signed up this week and can’t to kick off 2018 in “true” yoga fashion! You should do it with me and sign up! It’s totally free and I promise you’ll love her!! Plus, it’s yoga in your living room….what can be better than that?
I’m totally in. Are you?
Before I let you go, I wanted to share 5 slow cooker recipes that you should try this weekend! They’re all super Christmas-y and festive and sound amazingly delicious!! I’m definitely going to give some of these a try and so should you! 🙂
