Hi friends & happy Friday AND first of March to you! Can you believe it’s ALREADY March? I seriously can’t get over how fast this year is already flying by. One thing I’m super excited about that comes with March is the time change! Who else is dying for longer daylight? I know I am! Get ready to Spring forward next weekend! I’m also totally looking forward to March Madness! (Anyone else a big fan of basketball this time of year?)
Today on the blog, I wanted to share a few things I’m loving lately! Be sure to tell me down in the comments something you’re loving lately too! I can’t wait to hear what’s rocking your favorites list!
First things first, I am loving my strength training routine lately! I know I mentioned it just recently how I’m using dedicated days for my workouts like arm day, leg day and cardio day. It’s paying off big time. Want to know how I know for sure? I did my FIRST EVER solo chin-up this week! It’s been a huge goal of mine (random, I know) to be able to do a pull-up/chin-up all by myself. I’ve always had a bad case of noodle arms with zero upper body strength and a ton more strength in my legs. (Hello, running!) So, when I attempted to pull myself up to do a chin-up all on my own this week, you better believe I was super proud of myself when I reached the top! I couldn’t believe it! If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw my story and saw the excitement written all over my face! It’s crazy what a little extra time focusing on upper body workouts can do in a pretty short amount of time!
One thing that I feel like makes a huge difference for me in the gym is using a pre-workout. I have been loving my lemon flavored pre-workout before my gym days or longer run days and can totally see a difference from when I use it and when I don’t. I’ll link the one I love using, >>here! The little extra boost of energy really helps me push a little bit harder on those days that I need a little something extra for my workouts.
Another thing I’m totally loving lately, is my daily vitamin routine! The three vitamins that I take every day are: Vitamin D, K2, and B12! The winter is especially rough for getting in enough Vitamin D so I like to supplement regularly to make sure I don’t have much of a deficiency. I love K2 for help with dental health and blood sugar regulation. Then, lastly B12 because I feel like everyone probably would benefit from a little extra energy from B vitamins! This one is chewable and tastes just like sweet candy, which gives it an A+ in my book! (I’m a wimp when it comes to pills and can’t usually swallow large vitamins or gross liquids.)
I also love to supplement my heart health with a bite or two (sometimes more…) of dark chocolate each and every day. 😉My favorite chocolate bar lately has been this Theo Dark Chocolate and Sea Salt. SO good, especially with a scoop of peanut butter on top for an extra boost of yum.
Last, but most certainly not least on my “loving lately” list are these blue blight blocker glasses! They are a game changer for me because I spend so much of my day behind a computer/phone screen! I have two different pairs and have been wearing them for a little over a year and haven’t looked back since. I notice a significant difference in my eyes when I don’t wear them after a long day of computer usage or screen time. It’s crazy how straining those screens can really be on your eyes after so long! This one >>here<< is my current favorite! These are super affordable and totally worth spending money on, in my opinion! They don’t have my color right now which is “Snow Leopard”, but the others are equally lovable! You can even add your prescription if you have one!
