Hi guys! 👋🏻
Who would’ve thought it would’ve taken me THIS long to update you. 🙈 I have SO much to catch you up on. But, first things first — We’re officially FLORIDIANS!! The sunshine state is now our home! (Eeeek!!) 🤗☀️
We moved out a little early from our tiny Hillcrest rent house in a matter of a week or so between a month-long trip to Raleigh (I’ll update you on that next!), donated anything we couldn’t fit into our car and hit the road.

We packed our car until there wasn’t an inch to spare. Hello #Minimalism! π

This has been something we’ve wanted to do for a really long time but just didn’t know exactly when. Remember last year when I thought we were going to be able to travel the US for about a year? Well, ya know…the timing was the absolute worst for any kind of travel for ANYONE so that had to be put on the back burner. And, if you’ve followed me for any amount of time you know we absolutely ADORE the beach. It’s our happiest of places and we typically come down to the gulf coast about 3 times a year. So, when work and life gave us the green light, we took God upon the offer and made a giant leap of faith.

This was the view from our living room on move-in day. Yep, disaster. But, what move doesn’t look like this? HA! Would you believe me if I told you we’ve moved 20 times in 9 years? You read that right. 20 times! Between flipping houses and transitions between each, we’ve racked up quite the moving record. But, this one has to be our favorite one yet.
We packed ONLY what we could fit in our SUV and that included everything you see in the picture above. Nick worked some serious Tetris magic when it was time to pack it up.
Cooper included. π He rode in my lap the entire drive down and was a perfect little sleepy angel. He is THE BEST traveler.

He’s prepared to travel in style these days and live his new life as the ultimate beach bum senior dog. His face may tell a different story here, but he loves his new form of transportation. *I ended up tightening the straps to make it more comfortable for both of us!*

We unpacked, settled in, and hit the beach. We somehow hit the moving week lotto because the weather was PERFECT! The water was a total dream and even locals here said it was some of the prettiest beach days they’ve ever seen.
The emerald coast totally lives up to its reputation. It was like the ocean turned into a giant swimming pool.

Cooper even hit up ‘dog beach’ at Pier Park for the first time (which deserves a post of its own). Needless to say he LOVED it and we did too! Dogs splish splashing around and living their best life at the beach? I’m HERE FOR IT.

Oh and Schooner’s gumbo was an absolute MUST. We even got our first Locals card! That makes us officially official, right? Right.

We’ve already hit up the tennis courts at the best local community center right down the road from us too. Let’s just say that I’m …a… work in progress when it comes to tennis but it was SO MUCH FUN! You can learn anything on YouTube these days, right?

Oh, and we’ve already seen our fair share of sea life. We have paddle boards coming soon so I know we’re going to see plenty more really soon! Fingers crossed for dolphins and less sightings of these guys!! Ouch!

Alright, I’m off to dive into work for the day but I’ll leave you with our moving day vlog! Don’t forget to subscribe while you’re there!
Stay tuned and come back often because I have BIG plans for my blog & vlog!
XOXO
Chelsea
