Who’s ready for another good dose of “After” pictures? House #3 wrapped up and earlier this year and we were pretty proud of the final result. If you haven’t had a chance to check out the “Before” pictures, you can find them here. Also, if you’d like to see our progress on this one along the way, you can find it here and here.
We got this 3 bed 2 1/2 bath home for $139,900. It had 2090 square feet to it, and plenty of home work needed inside and out. We turned it around to sell it for $209,000 in about a months time. We bought it in May of 2016, listed it for the sale the week of Christmas and sold it at the end of January of this year (2017). This was our quickest turn around yet. Considering our timing, we were so impressed by the interest and traffic with this property. Just like the others before, we had showings multiple times a day throughout the “active” time on the market. The location of this one was in such a cute little neighborhood with mature trees lining the streets all lined up alongside very well taken care of homes. The neighbors surrounding Gunpowder had all been there for years upon years, and you could tell they all loved where they lived. We instantly saw it’s potential with the house itself, but with the long term neighbors right nextdoor, we knew we landed a good one! In fact, when Nick and I actually looked at the house to begin with, it had literally JUST hit the market and we were one of the multiple showings it had had on it’s 2nd “active” day on the MLS. We knew we had to jump on it quickly or else someone else would get their hands on it. We went straight home and wrote up the offer and sent it over that exact same day, Easter weekend to be exact. We were one of the multiple offers for the home, but luckily after a bit of negotiation, we were the lucky ones to land this cute property. We felt confident in in the potential it had, and knew we could turn this brighten this one back up and bring it back to life.
So, with the nitty gritty out of the way–I present you with the “After” pictures of Gunpowder Road. No more brown, but still plenty of character and charm just like we hoped!
Notice that wall oven space that’s not there anymore? Doesn’t it just make this kitchen feel 10x bigger? It does in pictures and really does in person!
We loved the lights in these bathrooms that came with it, so we decided to keep them! Nick painted them white to clean them up a bit and it was just the most perfect touch to get to keep the original charm within this home. Also, I spy that awesome faucet I mentioned before! 😉
Again with the master bath, we kept the original lighting.
Then the amazing deck update really spruced up this backyard!
Oh, I sure am a sucker for a good “Before & After” post! And with that, we wrap up our past flips for now! House #3 was a quick one but no less hardwork or love put in. We hope to have done the previous homeowner justice by keeping her charm and coziness with it, but just bringing it back to life with some brighter but somewhat modern updates.
Then, just like that–we were off to House #4! (Or what we like to call “our current flip” –for now! Stay tuned for more on it really soon! I can’t wait for you to see it!
