Hi friends! We officially MADE it! Happy Fri-YAY to you!! I hope you’ve had a great week!
While we’ve made it to Friday & almost the end of January–we’ve also made it to the very first Run-fessions confession of 2018! You read that right, I’m taking you guys with me into the runfessional today. Today’s the day when we, runners, get to lay it all out there and runfess our hearts out while we share the good, the bad and the ugly from the past month. I’m linking up with my fellow running bloggers to runfess it ALL and you better believe I have plenty to share…
I have been cheating on running a bit this month. Yep, it’s true. We’ve been logging so many walking miles this past month, that dare I say–I may have walked more miles than running them! Can I also mention that I haven’t hated it? Because, I really haven’t hated it at all! There’s just something so calming about going for long walks for miles on end to focus on deep breathing while really taking in the views on each walk. I love the thought of not rushing or focusing on my pace but just going with the flow and walking my heart out. It really is one of my favorite ways to get moving and gives me so much time to zone out and slow things down a bit!
I’ve been a terrible half marathon trainer these past few weeks. Oops! But, never fear I am planning on picking up the pace from here on out to get ready for that March half marathon.
I’m in desperate need of some new running socks! Somehow they’ve almost all disappeared into sock-land and I can’t find any of my favorites, besides one pair! How can that be?
I’ve been totally slacking with my post-run foam rolling sessions. I solemnly swear to get better with this from here on out, especially if I plan to be injury free come March!
A totally non-running confession–I ate my weight in fruit snacks yesterday and don’t care who knows it. Those.things.are.highly.addicting.but.insanely.delicious.at.the.same.time. Oops!
Alright and that’s a wrap on the very first runfession session of 2018!
