Good Morning & Happy Saturday!
The birds are chirping, the sun is shining and my coffee is hot. (If only we were drinking hot coffee on a beach walk like the picture above…that’d be a total dream. 😉 Anyways, I’ve got a 5 mile run on the menu today so that all spells out a really great start to the weekend in my book.
Today, I’m linking up with Deborah and Coco for the Ultimate Coffee Date–May edition! So, obviously, instead of meeting for an actual coffee date, we’re going virtual! This is quite the thing to do these days, anyway, right? So, we’re right on-trend. Grab your coffee and join us!
I hope your weekend is a really good one! We’re starting to slowly open up here in Arkansas, so fingers crossed this goes well and life can somewhat resume normal soon.
If we were having coffee this morning, I’d tell you…
I’m loving this run challenge and the motivation it’s bringing me. Who knew a simple Strava challenge could get me up and moving more than ever? I participated in a “Holiday Sweat” challenge in December last year and loved the daily motivation, so clearly I’m on to something if I ever need to find the motivation to get myself up and moving. Are you moving more during this time? How about any virtual races or challenges?
I would also tell you…
The Rise X Conference with Rachel Hollis is TODAY! YAY! I feel like I’ve been counting down forever when in reality it’s just been about a week or so. 😉 The speakers are going to be amazing and I can’t wait to take ALL of the notes.
Have you been to any good conferences before? Are you a Rachel Hollis fan? How about her books–have you read any?
I would ask you…
I’m on the hunt for new running shoes soon and need to know what your favorites are! Do you go towards the same brand each time or do you like to mix it up? I’m a big fan of Brooks but I’m not opposed to changing it up to new ones this time around.
I would tell you that…
I’m planning on sprucing up our front porch and deck this week! I want some fresh new flowers to plant and a really cute front doormat. Something about the spring season and all the beautiful flowers everywhere has me craving some landscaping around our new little home. We don’t have the yard we’re used to landscaping but there’s still plenty to do around here in our cute rental too. So I’m excited to show you how it all turns out!
Have you done anything new around your yard or decks? Do you do any planting or landscaping each year?
I would also mention that… I can’t wait to see what this new month holds for us. I have a feeling it’s going to be a good one…I mean anything is better than what March/April were, right? I’m imagining you shaking your head yes! 😉
Alright, off to run and “Rise” with Rachel Hollis!
Happy Saturday, friends!
If we were having a coffee date, what would you tell me?
I hope you enjoy the conference! I usually attend work-related functions when I can. I did read Girl, Wash Your Face but not any of Rachel’s other works.
We’ve been doing some sprucing up around the house. My husband is a big gardener and keeps bees, so we’ve got some veggies and flowers coming up nicely right now!
I heard Pennsylvania is slowly starting to phase parts of the state but it’s still too soon for us in Philly.
I also got some flowers for our deck and it makes everything seem better. Can’t wait for normal life to come back. Thanks for linking up!
The local nurseries and hardware stores have been pretty tapped out and I have a bit of a brown thumb, so can’t say we have done too much. Florida is hard for gardening, but what we do have (azaleas, hydrangeas, and day lilies) are doing just fine.
Not a huge Rachel Hollis fan, but I hope you had a great time with the conference!
I love Brooks but I will play around. Adrenalines are my go to, followed by the Ravenna (not sure how they will work for me right now – they are a bit more narrow and my foot and ankle is pretty thick after my surgery, in my opinion), and Saucony Guides.
