Good Morning & Happy Friday! We made it!
I hope you’ve had a great week! Do you have any plans for the weekend? I plan on getting in some cleaning projects around the house, a few good workouts and tuning into the Super Bowl on Sunday afternoon. The snacks are always my favorite part. Anyone else feel the same way? 😉
For today’s post, I wanted to share a peek into my current morning routine. I typically stick to the same few tasks each morning right from the moment I wake up, so I thought it would be fun to take you through a typical morning with me!
This morning, I woke up around 6:00AM and got straight to my water bottle and let the dogs outside. They were obviously in a hurry. Can you tell by their blurs? Little Joey is back in his cone for now while his eye finishes up healing from his infection a few weeks ago. We’re hoping we can try to take it off next week and see how he does. Life is tough when you’re 18 and 126 in dog years.

Then, I get to the best part of every morning: COFFEE.
Here’s my current setup. Hello morning hair!
Every morning, I turn on our electric fireplace and open all the blinds. Natural light is my favorite way to start off the day, especially when it’s a sunny morning. There’s something so calming about sitting by a cozy fire with your cup of coffee, right?

Next up, it’s time to head to the office (my morning commute isn’t bad at all ;)). I like to map out my day with my “Get To Do” list first thing to help get my mind ready for the day ahead. I got this tip to start naming my list as my “Get To Do” list a few years ago and it really helps switch your mindset to being grateful for what you do each day versus the dreading of a busy work day. Try it! It really works!

Then, I take some time to read a little bit from my favorite personal development books and jot down some thoughts in my gratitude journal. Today’s message from Jen Sincero was just what I needed to kick off the day.

Next up, shower and time to get myself ready for the day. Since I work from home, it’s important to note here that I don’t ALWAYS get dressed and ready. Today just so happened to be a day that a hair wash was much needed. 😉
That’s better.

Last but not least, I settle into my cozy house shoes and get to work –blogging, checking my emails, and tackling my daily 9AM work meeting on Zoom.

I hope you guys have a great day ahead! I’m crossing my fingers for a lot of productivity so more coffee is most likely going to be needed.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
Questions for you:
What’s something you do every single morning?
How many cups of coffee do you have? OR do you even drink coffee at all? Do tell!
What are you most looking forward to this weekend?

Ooh! I often think of fitness in terms of “I GET to do this” but I don’t apply that to the rest of my life enough. My takeaway from your post is that I’m going to stop making to do lists for work and start making “get to do” lists.
I love that!!! I’m so glad! It really is crazy how just a play on words can turn your overwhelming to do list into something you want to do versus feel like you have to do. 🙂 Let me know what you think once you try it at work!
Your mornings sound so wonderfully peaceful! ❤️😃
Thanks, Brandi!! I definitely try my best to make it that way! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you guys are having a great week so far!
Happy I found your blog! This post was a lot of fun.
Q: What’s something you do every single morning?
A: Have my coffee, listen to personal development books and go for a walk outside before my day begins
Q: How many cups of coffee do you have?
A: Just one (I’m trying my hardest to cut down on my caffeine)
Hi Stephanie! I’m so glad you found my blog too!! Thank you so much for reading along! 🙂
I love that you go for walks outside before the day begins! There really isn’t anything quite like fresh air and a good dose of sunshine to start the morning off right.
And, I’ll send you all the good vibes for helping cut down on your caffeine intake. It’s HARD to do, that’s for sure but you’ve got it!!
Have an amazing day!!
