Hey there! Happy Wednesday!
Today’s post is a fun one because I love nothing more than trying out new-to-me hair products!
I have been seeing this L’Oréal Paris Wonder Water everywhere on Instagram, so naturally — I had to give it a try myself to see if it really is worth the hype. My hair is W-I-L-D and truly has a mind of its own. So, when people say certain hair products work for them, that doesn’t typically ever mean it’ll work the same on my hair. I have naturally curly, frizzy, thick but fine-ish hair. I struggle with using hardly any product in my hair because it builds up REALLY easily at my roots so I typically avoid anything added when I don’t have to use it. See what I mean when I say it’s wild? When I blow dry it, I look pretty close to a poodle so a straightener or curling iron wand is a necessity to tame the frizz (so I don’t scare any kids or anything! ;)). I also don’t always use a heat protector (more like never…) and typically use some form of heat on my hair about twice a week. It’s also been nearly a year since I got a proper hair cut (Hello Covid) so I knew going into this — this treatment better be made of serious magic to impress and even make a dent in this head of hair.

So, it promises shinier, softer, and visibly silkier hair. (Yes, please! Sign me up!) Oh, AND it works in 8 seconds of treatment. (Hhhm…okay. I’m listening…)

Here’s how it works:

So, I cracked in open and got right to it!
Here’s what my hair looked like before I washed it and used the treatment for reference.

I went with the option of using “2 doses” because my hair is so thick and lathered it on for 8 (ish) seconds.
Here’s what it looked like after blow dry and using my flat iron.
And just for fun, here’s what it looked like in different lighting to show the level of “shine” that this treatment added.

Here are my thoughts: Overall, I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised with the results of this treatment. It says you can use it 2-3 times a week but I don’t wash my hair THAT much each week to do a treatment every time I wash it. So, I plan on using it once a week or so. It says you may feel a slight tingle to it but I never did. But, again — I have thicker hair so maybe that’s why. I also chose to use a little bit of conditioner afterwards because I need it more for detangling than anything. I use this shampoo and conditioner from Bed Head and have been for a while.
My hair was NOTICEABLY softer AND shinier after just one treatment. It also made for great 2nd and 3rd day hair too! I definitely plan to keep using it regularly so I’ll keep you guys posted if I notice anything else from my results with it.
The price: $8.97 (I’m shocked!!)
Does it really work? Yes! Hands down — I recommend giving it a try to see what you think for yourself!
On a scale of 1/10 — I’d give it a solid 9.
If you give it a try, definitely come here and tell me what you think of it!
Questions for you:
Have you tried this hair treatment?
Do you ever use hair masks or special leave-in conditioners?
What’s your favorite shampoo/conditioner?

Fun! I love trying out new hair and beauty products. I’ll definitely be picking up next time I’m in the store. Thanks 😊
