Hi! Happy Tuesday!
I hope you’re having a great start to your week so far! Mine has been pretty productive so here’s hoping that trend continues throughout the rest of the week. 😉
One of my 2021 intentions was to take more “me-time” and unplug. Unplugging is honestly something I don’t get to do very often because of my work in social media management. I have to be extra intentional when I want to really disconnect and take some time away from my many screens. One of my favorite ways to do that is by reading! I feel like I’m always trying to get myself to read more and more but to truly transparent I’m a pretty slow-paced reader. I tend to lose focus really easily and my mind wonders off to my never-ending to do list, so it has to take a pretty interesting book to keep me tuned in long term. That’s why when I do get time to read, I typically like cute rom-com fiction books that take my mind off work and into a happier place or story plot that keeps me turning page after page.
I stumbled across a website called “Thriftbooks” and found my new favorite spot to snag my upcoming reads. It’s like a thrift store for books, online! (I’m probably late to the game on this, which wouldn’t surprise me one bit.) You may have a used bookstore where you are but here in Little Rock, we don’t have a ton of great used bookstores. Well, that I know of at least. So, this was the most exciting find for me– I fell in love .5 seconds into scrolling their home page to see how many great options they have! Also, they offer their books at thrift prices which is my kind of deal! I got all 3 of my spring reading books for under $25 total! (YES, you read that right!) They sell new books too, but I’m all about snagging used books for a deal because, why not? I don’t mind a crinkle or two on the cover and 2/3 of mine were in really really great condition. The third was just a teeny bit used but I knew it would be that way based on the description. It still isn’t even bad at all, in my opinion. You can see for yourself below! If you haven’t ever ordered from ThriftBooks, I’d highly suggest you check them out! I know you’ll love it!
So, let’s jump right into my Spring Reading List!
I am currently several chapters into “This Time Next Year” by Sophie Cousens. It’s absolutely adorable and is set in London which for some reason always wins me over. I just love how Sophie has laid out the chapters of this one and lets you get to know the characters cute backstories.
It got 3.93 stars out of 5 on Goodreads too! So, it definitely comes highly recommended.
As always, I’ll keep you posted with my thoughts when I finish it up! But so far, so good. It’s really cute!

Next up, I’m diving into “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman.
Okay, so I’m a total sucker for Reese Witherspoons book recommendations because her books are always my favorite! They’re always right up my alley so I know when she says it’s good, I’ll probably like it! She previously recommended (and starred in the Hulu show) “Little Fires Everywhere” which I absolutely LOVED that book!
Anyways, this is another highly rated read on goodreads coming in at a whopping 4.27 out of 5 stars.
*This is the book that was the most “used” but it’s NOT bad at all to me! It was under $5.00 so…I’ll take it!
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this so I can wait to get into it next!

Then, I’m changing up my flavors with a different type of read with “The Couple Next Door” by Shari Lapena.
This is less of a rom-com and more of a suspense book which has me all kinds of interested! I have a feeling I’m going to read this one pretty quickly based on its description.
This one came in at a 3.79 out of 5 stars on goodreads so it’s another high ranking read! I really can’t wait to see what all the hype is about with this.

Alright, guys so I have a lot of reading to get to! I haven’t been this excited about a reading list in a really long time. Stay tuned for my reviews on these coming your way as soon as I get finished with each one!
Have a great rest of your day!! Oh, be sure and pop by the blog tomorrow because I’ll be sharing a brand new “Currently” post! See you tomorrow!!
Questions for you:
What book are you currently reading?
Have you ever bought from ThriftBooks?
Do you prefer audiobooks or a good hardback/paperback?
Have you ever read any of these on my list? If so, what did you think? Share your thoughts down below! I can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

Eleanor is a great book! I read it on vacay a few years ago and still get all the feels thinking about it. I’ll have to check out Thriftbooks. I usually read fiction and listen to nonfiction and I have decent luck getting most of my books from the library through Libby on my kindle. Right now I’m reading Mildred Pierce by James M. Cain.
Oh I love getting books from the library too! I just get a little impatient when I have to put a hold on one until it comes available. 🙂 HA! I’ve heard Libby is a great way to get good books too! I’m so excited to hear that you loved Eleanor! I know it’ll be a good one. Enjoy Mildred Pierce!! Definitely let me know what you think of it when you get done.
