Good morning and happy Monday!
The weeks are flying by right now! I can’t believe we’re already getting to the end of April. Where has the time gone? More importantly, where has the first quarter of 2020 gone, really?
For today’s post, I’m so excited to be linking up with Deborah and Kim for the Weekly Rundown! Feel free to join along and link up with us as we each recap our week of workouts around the health and wellness blogosphere. 😉
If you follow me on Instagram or Strava, you might know I signed up to run the “Run Arkansas 6-Week Virtual Run Challenge” with the Little Rock Marathon. Last week was week #1 and I can officially mark it off the list.
Here’s what my week of workouts looked like last week:
Monday:
Nick and I got outside for a few sunny walking miles to our favorite lookout point at Knoop Park in Hillcrest.
Tuesday:
A long walk down by the river = 5.44 miles.
Wednesday:
With this run challenge, we’re given one mileage task of the week to do. This week was a 5k in the “intermediate” program, which is what I signed up for. I got my first 5k PR in a really long time! It felt so good and I didn’t even die. 😉 These are the days I’m reminded why running is my favorite thing to do. Those post-run endorphins really are the best.
Thursday:
*Almost* 3 stroller miles with the pups!
Friday:
Another neighborhood walk including all the stops to smell the spring blooms.
Saturday:
4 mile run with another 5k PR hidden in there!
Followed up with this Yoga with Adriene session!
Sunday:
Another Yoga with Adriene session to wind down for the week. This was my rest day.
Week Recap:
And that’s a wrap of my week of workouts!
It was a really good week filled with plenty of outside time and sunshine which is much needed, especially right now. Despite everything going on, I hope you have a really great week ahead and get in some great “you” time.
Questions for YOU:
What was the highlight of your weekend?
What’s your favorite way to get a sweat in?
Are you binging anything good on Netflix or Hulu right now? Do tell…
**Also- if you’re on Strava, let’s connect!
Oh my goodness…that doggy stroller! I need to get one for my husband, and his super co-dependent 25 lb cat, LOL!
Oh my goodness, YES! That would be an amazing combo!! haha! 🙂
Have a great week, Heather!!
Thanks for joining the linkup!!! Looks like an active week for you, and congrats on those 5K’s! Those PR’s are hard to come by, so great job!
Thanks so much Kim!!! I am so excited I finally go to linkup with you guys. They’re always so fun to participate in. 🙂
Enjoy your week!!
That dog stroller! Too cute. Way to go on your runs this week and that unexpected PR. Thanks so much for joining us w the Weekly Run Down. Have a fantastic week ahead.
Thanks so much, Deborah!! You too!!
Great week! I want a stroller for the pugs so badly, but someone (not mentioning anyone’s name, husband), says no. He’s a fun burglar.
Love all the yoga you got in. I think the highlight of my weekend was getting to go to a local farm for produce with the whole family. Social distance rules were followed, but it was such a normal thing to do. It felt so good.
Oh, and I just finished Unorthodox, which was incredible, and I think I am going to try to start Mrs. America.
hahaha a fun burglar! That’s too funny! Yeah, Nick doesn’t prefer to push the stroller when we’re out because he says it just draws attention! LOL! So, I gladly push my little senior pups on our walks because they can barely walk for over half a mile without getting super sore. They’re both over 12 years old so, gotta do what ya gotta do, right?! 😉
How awesome you got to head out to a local farm! That sounds like so much fun!!! And I haven’t seen Unorthodox yet but I’ll definitely add it to my list!!
Enjoy your week girly!!
Arhh, my wife loves Adriene. She’s a funny one sometimes.
We don’t watch anything on Netflix, but Banff Film festival has just released all of their film winners for this year. Certainly worth a watch of some of them for inspiration!
Ha! I’m glad your wife loves Adriene too! Nick, (my boyfriend) isn’t the biggest fan of it either though, like you! You guys should totally try it out though! I think you’d be a bigger fan than you’d think!
I need to check out that Banff Film Festival!! I bet it’s amazing!!!
Have a great week, Nick!!
You know I love me some running…I’m really enjoying my trail runs the most. I’m doing a virtual half this weekend, tho.
We just started LIttle Fires Everywhere on Hulu. I couldn’t watch Ozark anymore, even though my husband loves it. It’s gotten so dark!.
Hi Wendy!! Oh, trail runs are totally on my to-do list one of these days. They seem to tricky though navigating through the rocks and twists/turns! I feel like I’d definitely fall on my face a few times. haha! You’re awesome for getting out there!!
Good luck on your half!! You’ll do amazing, I’m sure of it!!
I totally understand you on the Ozark thing. It got superrrr dark this last season. It was pretty intense with each new episode.
Have an amazing week, Wendy!!
Awesome job this week on your workouts and congrats on that PR!
Thank you so much!!!
Have a great week girly!!
Great job last week! That sounds like a fun challenge. And Yoga with Adriene is the best!
Isn’t she great?! I feel like I’m taking an actual class with her instead of just hanging out in my living room. 🙂
And thank you so much, Lisa!! I hope you have a great week!!
Nice work on the 5k! Love the dog stroller 🙂
Thanks girly!!! The pups are big fans of it too! 😉
Ah, so envious of all that sunshine. We’re still cold and usually not much sun either. 🙁
Nice job on your 5k! congrats!
Oh no! I’ll send you some virtual sunshine vibes through the blog then! 😉 Hopefully soon the cold will sneak away and the warmth will head your way!
Thanks so much!!
I hope you have a great week ahead!!
Unfortunately I live in upstate NY. It’s kind of par for the course, although we’re actually colder than normal right now.
Thanks for the virtual sunshine, though, I’ll take what I can get!
