As much as we tried, “it” got us!

But, no worries–we’re battling this nasty bug with the best tools in our health toolbox. (Aka…all the vitamins + healthy fruits + water on water + a little Chick-fil-a for good measure.) We’re feeling a little better by the day so surely the light is at the end of the tunnel. So far, the worst of the worst is the aches for me and the congestion runs a close second. Nick isn’t having too bad of symptoms at all other than some brain fog and a hint of fatigue.
I’ve never been so thankful for these two things: {working from home (serious lifesaver) + fuzzy socks (thanks, Mom!)]
In other news, before “it” made itself right at home within our four walls, we kicked off the New Year by TRYING to stay up to midnight. We made it to 11:00 CST which totally counts because it was technically 12 on the east coast. We were realllly close, but not quite there. Joey couldn’t hang. (Not pictured) Nick is more of a night owl than I am so he’s down for a later bedtime any night of the week, no matter the holiday.

We got in a few good (walking) miles to kick off the New Year strong at our favorite spot.

I’ve trained Nick well when it comes to hanger. 😉 He was our running errands and brought home my favorite sushi (California rolls) because he just “knew” I’d be hungry when he got back! He was right…ha! I don’t dare touch the ginger or wasabi (#notafan) so these separated sushi containers are my favorite!

I got influenced to order one of these “Milk Boss” milk frothers after seeing 038472 Instastories of favorite Amazon finds. It just came in today and I’m already dreaming of my morning coffee filled with allllll the froth.

I’m putting together a post for this week with my 2021 intentions so be sure and check back in later this week for that update!
Alright, soup + Netflix are calling my name as we speak! Happy first Monday of the year!! I hope you made it through!
Questions for you:
What’s your favorite soup? From where? Or homemade?
Do you have a milk frother?
Sushi: YAY or NAY?

I’m sorry you guys are sick and hope you get well soon! My stepsons and I love sushi, my husband hates it. I love spicy foods but I’m really wary around wasabi. If it’s too strong then it’s not spicy, it’s painful.
I don’t make soup very often but something hit me this weekend and I went soup crazy! I made thai curry soup for my lunches and a big ol’ tortellini soup for dinner.
Thank you so much for the well wishes!! We feel like we may be on the mend today so here’s hoping it sticks around! 🙂
I’m the same way with soup–it has to sound good and then once I get on a kick, it’s a strong kick! haha! That sounds amazingly delicious, especially with the tortellini!! YUM!!
I hope you have an amazing rest of your day!!
