This week has been packed full of all things random, so we’ve got tons to catch up on! Plus, it’s been a while since you’ve had your dose of CBH randomness–so I’ve got you covered today. We’ve been so busy with this new house and have made SO much progress in such a short time. I’m loving that we’re moving along at a good pace already. Fingers crossed we can keep this pace up. We’ve made a little time though to squeeze in a few of our favorite things to feel somewhat “normal” while we’re transitioning into this next house. So let me tell you about “all the things” today.
Besides spending a majority of our time here…..(A.K.A. Sherwin Williams)
Doing this…..
I managed to get in a few good runs lately! I ran a 5k last week for Virtual Charity Runs for their “Lucky Cat” virtual race. It was super hot that day but it adds a little extra pep in your step when you know your run has a purpose! If you’ve never heard of Virtual Charity Runs before, they do monthly running challenges to fundraise for rescuing animals. They have a new one this month, so go check them out here.
I ran up to a soccer field by us to add a little extra distance and it was SO nice to change from pavement to grass. My joints thanked me for that bright idea.
These two have been getting in lots of extra walk time too because we have a super good walking path right by the new house. Aren’t their new harnesses adorable? I needed one that was a little more comfortable for them than the last kind I had and these fit them both great. Cooper just likes to carry his portable water bowl in case he gets thirsty during his walk. 😉
Bet you can’t guess where this breakfast date was? Maybe we can get a discount card to The Root soon or something as many times as we go there. You can’t ever have a bad day when you start your day off there though with their amazingly delicious breakfast.
We also tried out Zoe’s Kitchen and it was surprisingly REALLY good! We both got the chicken kabobs and roasted veggies and it was so flavorful and filling! I’ll be back for sure.
I tried my first ever Mexican Mule the other day, and needless to say I’ll be back for another round here soon. Have you ever tried these before? They’re super refreshing but much less sugar than the margaritas. Yum!
Dessert game on point. Favorite.flavor.hands.down.
Celebrating Mother’s day with my favorite mom and sister was the best! Aren’t they just the cutest?
Loving my weekly CSA boxes. It’s a major highlight of my week. Does that make me old to be extra excited about veggies? Hhhmm…..
Oh well…Can’t stop. Won’t stop.
Okay, so question for you today. Does anyone else’s face turn THIS red when they run? Inside or outside runs, my face goes from normal to cherry red in an instant. I just don’t know what tips or tricks can help me at this point. But, I know I can’t be the only one….? Nick always gets a good laugh when I finish my runs because of this new shade of rosiness that I bring home. Help please? Anyone? Maybe I just have overactive blood flow to my face or something…who knows!
Oh and sunset walks are just good for the soul.
Don’t ya think?
Have a fabulous Wednesday friends! I’m off for a run this afternoon in the summer sun! My SPIBelt H20 has officially made it’s return as my hydration life saver when it heats up in the South. Fingers crossed these legs of mine feel light and strong today! 🙂 What are your Wednesday night plans?
Let’s catch up again soon!
