We sure have been up to some randomness lately that I have to share with you!
Our house reno is in full swing lately, aka quite a mess! We’re up to our ears in projects going in every direction with this one. You’d think we would get in some sort of a routine and be able to focus on one project and then move onto the next, but that’s not really how it goes for us. When you’re into flipping houses, it’s like you develop a natural diagnosis of ADD. One second you’re painting and the next you’re outside staining the deck and then next thing you know you’re replacing a bathroom vanity. Totally random, but hey, it works for us!
Here’s what our current situation looks like as of lately:
Yep, the raw truth of flipping right here. I highly doubt you’d ever see this on HGTV! 😉 And, no our power isn’t out and there’s not a snow storm outside causing us to sleep by the fireplace….We’re currently sleeping in the living room because….
..our bedroom looks like this as we speak….Yep. Isn’t it just gorgeous? 🙂 Nick is replacing the flooring in the bedroom which=nowhere to sleep besides the living room for right now which makes for quite the comfy night of sleep! Ha! He’s been busy working every day taking up each and every hardwood plank which was initially STAPLED in with about 1,000 staples. It’s going to be a good while before we can move back into the bedroom so the next few weeks should be pretty interesting! So, long-term-slumber-party in the living room it is!
But, things are moving along for sure in other parts of the house. We’ve started on one of the 3 1/2 baths and replaced the old sink with a pretty vanity + new toilet! We found ourselves really questioning our sanity when we had a tough time choosing the “right” toilet….what really makes a difference with those things?
I’ve still been busy painting the upstairs with my assistants always by my side. They just like to make sure I’m doing the right thing and not missing any spots. We’re SO close to being finished up and can order our new carpet! I can’t wait to see this pink carpet GONE! But, it sure makes things easier knowing you can spill paint anywhere and not worry about it!
My favorite way to survive this paint job (that never seems to end) is multi-task and listen to my podcasts or audio books while I paint. So far, I’ve finished up all of the bedrooms and baths, upstairs and I’m ALMOST ready to head downstairs to start on the master bathroom. Slowly but surely, I’ll get there! This is my current personal development audiobook! I’m absolutely loving it and am almost finished with it! Have you heard of the Miracle Morning? I can’t wait to start putting it to use!
I’ve been throughly enjoying these Fall running temperatures too! It’s been so gorgeous here in Arkansas lately, I feel like I could run all day every day! Can’t it just stay Fall forever?
I’m working my way up to starting to run in the morning though. I know, I know, I’ve said it before but I just have such a hard time getting up and ready to run first thing. But, I know it’s so good for my body and my mental clarity so I plan on trying to inch up my run times earlier and earlier in the day this week to hopefully hit the morning really soon! But, for the month of November I plan on just running whatever distance feels right as I’m not currently training anymore for any upcoming races. That’ll most likely change in the next few months though!
Another random share, I’ve been adding collagen peptides to my coffee every morning now for about a month and I’m LOVING it!! For a little while I was feeling like my hair was really drying out quickly and feeling thinner than normal, so I decided to add collagen to my daily coffee! It’s really making a difference and especially in my fingernails! Plus, it’s flavorless which a huge factor for me! I am so sensitive to flavored things that I can’t really take a lot of supplements that have strange tastes. But, this is perfect for me! One scoop in the morning in my coffee and I’m good for the day! Anyone else use collagen peptides?
Oh and because these guys haven’t been on the blog lately, they wanted to pop in and say hi! They’re still just going along with our crazy flipping lifestyle, without a peep or complaint from either so I’d say all is well on their end. 😉 Their biggest concern is just how many hours a day they should plan on sleeping…so…such a rough life, I tell ya!
I’m off to do more painting and then heading out for another Fall run! I hope you guys are having a fabulous Hump Day!! Do something outside today if you can! I promise you won’t regret it!
