Happy Wednesday!
I’m probably not the only one that’s been extra motivated the past few weeks due to the build up of the Olympic Trials, but it’s been fun keeping up with everything swirling around about it lately.
Sad news that Des didn’t make the team this year, but I have a feeling she’s got a good race coming up at Boston next month. The other 3 women absolutely dominated the race though and I’m so excited for them! I had to go follow all of them on social media right after and fell in love with their dedication to the sport. Also, who else wants one of those super cute beanies from Aliphine? She was the cutest with that American flag one on! Anyways, I’m back today with another recap of last week’s workouts! Another proud moment because I kept up (again) with my weekly training plan and got in my exact self-prescribed runs and workouts! Nick promised me this week that he would start running once a week with me outside so I’m hoping my speed will really start picking up soon! I also may or may not have convinced him to sign up for a bunch of 5k’s and 10k’s too. 😉 It was way too hard NOT to get bit by the race bug after the Olympic Trials this weekend AND the Little Rock Marathon. If you’re in Arkansas I always keep an eye on the upcoming race calendar, here!
Alright, let’s get to last week’s recap!
Total running miles: 7 (Not impressive, but soon to be improving! ;)) All indoors on the treadmill.
Average Pace: 9:40 ish
Walking miles: PLENTY!
2 Rest Days
Totally forgot to charge my Garmin for this one. Oops! Why is that so hard for me to remember? Anyone else?
We also got in some really great walks last week too because the weather was pretty great most of the week!
Same view-different day! 😉 The park we walk to all the time is just around the corner from us and has the best view of Little Rock. It’s beautiful on clear days!
Lots of sweat happened this past week and I loved every minute of it! Because we’ve made strength training and consistent cardio a regular habit for us this year, I’m starting to really see a difference in my overall strength and fitness. Thank goodness! Now to improve my breathing with more hills…
Questions for you: What was your favorite workout last week?
Are you signed up for any races?
Non-running related: What was the last movie you went to see? We went to see The Invisible Man last week and it was really good!! I totally recommend it and I normally am not a huge fan of scary movies but it was honestly more suspenseful than anything! Go see it and tell me what you think!
I love to get out for extra walks when the weather is nice as well. We have had a couple of warmer days and I have to take advantage. Hope you will link up w our Weekly Run Down on Sunday/Monday each week sometime we’d love to have you
Hi Deborah!! I definitely will join you guys for the link up!! I had a bit of a blogging hiatus but I’m trying to get back into it! Those linkups are always my favorite way to connect with you ladies!!! Enjoy your day!!
