Hi! Happy What’s Up Wednesday!
Today is my first What’s Up Wednesday of the year and I am so excited to share today’s post with you! I’m linking up with Shay Shull over at mixandmatchmama and Sheaffer over at Sheaffer Told Me To to share “What’s Up” and what’s been going on in and around our world this past month.
If you’re like me and can’t believe we’re already this far into 2021, join the club! It’s been a wild ride thus far into the year so here’s hoping we can get some calm and peace over the next little while. Between a winter storm that put life on hold for a solid week to 70’s this week I feel like Arkansas weather is just as thrown for a loop as we are with life lately.
Anyways, let’s get right into today’s post!
Also, feel free to join today’s link up party if you’re a blogger! I would love to connect and follow along with you so be sure and drop a comment below for what’s been UP with you lately!
WHAT’S UP WEDNESDAY:
We’ve been EATING:
We’ve been devouring all the sushi lately. Oh and alllllll the cuties we can get our hands on. I know sushi isn’t really a “cold weather food” but it sounds good at least 3 times per week. Also, is it even possible to just eat ONE cutie? I feel like two is a definite must.
I’ve been REMINISCING:
…about the days I was able to get a break away from my home office to work at the library. Ours are still very limited and the study rooms (those are my favorite!) aren’t open to the public just yet. I can’t wait to get back to adding that to my weekly routine because something about the library helps me be my most productive self.

I’ve been LOVING:
This onion salt from Trader Joe’s! It’s my favorite seasoning to add to different meats for dinner. Have you tried this before? If not, make sure to add it to your cart next time you’re at TJ’s!

What I’ve been UP TO:
I’ve been soaking up all the sunshine this week. Can you believe this time last week we (in Arkansas) were buried under 20+ inches of snow and this week we’re wearing shorts and tank tops in 75 degree weather? It’s like last week’s snow storm was a dream. So of course, we’re spending AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE outside to get in allllll the sunshine before a weekend of stormy weather heads our way.
I’ve been DREADING:
The upcoming time change. NOT because I don’t want more time in the day because who wouldn’t want that? But, I always have the hardest time adjusting to the time for a few weeks to months after we spring forward (or fall back). It IS my favorite time of the year though when we get to spring forward because I love the longer days.
I’ve been WORKING ON:
…trying to add in more stretching post-workout. For some reason I’m the worst at taking the time to stretch after my workouts. I am totally fine to get it in beforehand but as soon as I’m done with my run I’m ready to hit the door and get on with my day. But, I’m working on making it more of a cool down habit so that I don’t get as sore and don’t run into any injuries. The One Peloton app has some really great stretching classes that I want to start doing a few times each week too, so maybe that’ll help.

I’m EXCITED about:
Getting my garden up and running in just a few short weeks! It’s making such good progress already so I can’t wait to see what it looks like once it’s in the ground really soon! Now that we’re past our (most likely) only freeze of the winter, spring is just around the corner so bring on all the gardening! *If you’re new to the blog, I’m starting my very first ever garden this year so I’m hoping it turns out and I can harvest ALL the delicious fruits, veggies and beautiful flowers all summer long.
I’m WATCHING:
We’ve been going back and forth between Firefly Lane and Tell Me All Your Secrets. They couldn’t be more opposite but they’ve both been really good binge watch shows.
What I’m DOING THIS WEEKEND:
I plan on doing some de-cluttering and organizing of our laundry room because it’s supposed to be pretty rainy here ALL weekend long. I love a good stormy Saturday spent at home doing all the cleaning, re-charging from the work week and of course reading my latest book “This Time Next Year”!
I’m LOOKING FORWARD TO next month:
We hope to be able to get in a few fun camping trips around the National Parks here in Arkansas. This spot below is definitely on our list to check out. Isn’t it gorgeous? Also, I have to mention that I’m pretty excited for March Madness to happen to. We’re pretty big basketball fans here and the Razorbacks have been KILLING the season so far so here’s hoping the tournament goes just as great for them!

Alright, that’s a wrap on What’s Up Wednesday for February!
Be sure to drop a comment down below of what you’ve been up to this month and of course what you’re most excited about in March too!
Happy Wednesday!!

It was weird to me at first, but now I love that we don’t change our clocks in Phoenix. I know everyone’s looking forward to nicer weather, but I’m dreading the heat that’s coming here!
Oh, I completely understand dreading the heat. Our summers in Arkansas are always over 100 degrees with ALL the humidity. I’m sweating just thinking about it…haha! I know you totally get it in Pheonix! Wishing you a surprisingly mild summer! 🙂
You and I are on the same page about Cuties – 2 is the correct serving size! Sushi sounds pretty good as well right now;-)
Now I want sushi!!! Maybe we’ll have to pick some up this week.
Ha! YES for sure!! It’s always our go-to! 🙂
